You and the kids will all love these Santa and Rudolph ornaments. The ornaments are made out of simple craft materials. The kids will need supervision with the glue gun and scissors. If you don't like working with a glue gun, use Elmer's Glue instead!
Santa And Rudolph Popsicle Christmas Ornaments
MATERIALS
- Colored card stocks (We used red, brown, white and black)
- Glue or any preferred adhesive
- Kid-friendly Scissors
- Big popsicle sticks
- Googly eyes
- Cotton balls
- Styrofoam balls (optional; you can use the eyes in the template provided)
- Red pompom (optional)

DIRECTIONS FOR RUDOLPH
- Begin by downloading and printing the printable template provided
- Cut out the shapes you printed.
- Glue four popsicle sticks together as shown in the picture. For a cleaner and stronger popsicle base, support it with small sticks at its back.
- Cut your styrofoam ball into half. We have provided shapes for the eyes in the printable template if you prefer to use paper for the eyes.
- Attach styrofoam eyes and then top with the black circles to complete the reindeer’s eyes
- Attach the antlers at the top of the eyes. Followed by the reindeer’s nose below the eyes. Glue a red pom-pom or a small piece of red felt for the reindeer's nose.
- Let the craft dry completely before handling or displaying it.
Glue the popsicle sticks together.
Cut the styrofoam balls in two to make the eyes, or use the template and cut paper eyes.
Cut the antlers and the nose.
Attach styrofoam eyes first and then top with the black circles to complete the reindeer’s eyes. Next, add the nose pieces and antlers. This is a great kids' craft!
DIRECTIONS FOR SANTA

- Attach the red rectangle on the bottom half of the popsicle base as Santa’s suit. Followed by the red Santa hat at the top of the base.
- Glue cotton following a wide letter U shape in between Santa’s hat and suit. This will be his beard. Next, glue a cotton ball at the tip of Santa’s hat.
- Cut a styrofoam ball into less than half, and attach the two halves into his suit-like buttons. Now attach Santa’s googly eyes. We have provided shapes for the eyes and buttons in the printable template if you prefer to use paper.
- Let the craft dry completely before handling or displaying it.
Glue the popsicle sticks together as in the Rudolph ornament, then attach the red rectangle on the bottom half of the popsicle base as Santa’s suit. Followed by the red Santa hat at the top of the base.
Finish Santa with the cotton beard, styrofoam buttons and googly eyes!
Santa and Rudolph are adorable. Add a small hanger using ribbon or twine and use as package tags or ornaments. Hang them on wreaths. There are so many ideas for these little fellows.
Make nine reindeer with different-sized noses, googly eyes, etc.
